"I have lived in 10+ sober living homes and Tribe is the only place that had a substantial impact on my life and recovery journey. First off, the house is super comfortable and in a perfect location for someone new in recovery who may not have a car or a job yet. Aside from the house, the staff treats every person that comes through with respect, kindness, and as an individual with their own unique path and goals. Tribe allows each member to figure out what recovery looks like for them and supports them in reaching their highest potential through any system that works for them. Brent and Tom are incredibly supportive and are always coming up with cool ideas to create an awesome sense of community and brotherhood, which is one of the most important things in recovery (and life in general). Tribe allowed me to explore myself and my interests with tons of support, create independence for myself while also learning to thrive in a community, and ultimately helped me establish a strong foundation for my recovery which has allowed me to stay sober for over a year. I would highly recommend Tribe to anyone looking for conscious sober living in Austin, TX."
"I don’t know how Tribe. could be a more compassionate, supportive and capable transitional living program for men fresh out of treatment. I came into Tribe. an emotional, physical and mental mess. My mind, nervous system, anatomy and sense of social boundaries were twisted into knots and skewed. Brent, Tom, Brooke, Christine, fellow men at Tribe, and others had a way of showing me how to be gentle with myself and others. I was taught how to accept whatever situation was arising internally and externally with balance, grace, dignity and love. I learned how to be upset and angry with someone, and still share a meal, a bathroom or a bedroom with them. I learned how to compliment a friend, and how to receive one. I learned that what works for one person, doesn’t always work for others, and that non-traditional modes to healing and wholeness can be very beneficial within a proper framework. I learned how to more accurately determine what was actually a part of an experience, and what was just my own projection of my own emotional tones. They taught me boundaries with myself and others. They showed me how to sit with myself, and be there for myself in a way that no one else can be. I wasn’t taught through lectures or rote memorization of platitudes, I was shown these things with experience, practice and consistency. Most importantly, they showed me I was much more than an angry, drunk loser with their kindness. I’m not sure if I’ve ever felt so respected and valued by a group of men before in my life. I love you, bros!"

"Tribe is an amazing place that gave me the space to grow into my recovery. I found recovery through the 12 steps and it developed into long term sobriety through the safety, support, and mindfulness of tribe. Tribe allowed me the freedom to make my own choices in recovery. I believe this was a crucial component to me consistently making the decisions I needed for my sobriety. Brent got me into tribe when I was in delicate position, and I’m very grateful for his guidance and support throughout my year there. Tom the house manager is an incredible listener with grounded experience in his own recovery. They both always made space to listen when I needed to talk and their support was critical while I was developing a support system around me. I’m able to live a happy and sober life that I look forward to today and tribe is a special part of that story! I believe I made some life long friends during my stay and I will always remember the housemates that were on the journey with me!"

"I stayed at Tribe for 3 months and have to say I would not want to have stayed anywhere else during the beginning of my recovery!! The house manager Tom is fantastic and so is the owner Brent! Both very understanding, kind, and actually care for you and your well-being. It’s a beautiful and clean home with close proximity to whatever you need in Austin. It has a very meditative and calm feeling in the house."

"In my experience, Tribe was the only place where I’ve been able to thrive and grow out of the cycle that I was stuck in. I am still riding my wave of success, to this day. Tribe truly meets you where you are at, and that is something that I find to have been crucial for my success. After many 12-step oriented treatment centers and homes, I find that every cent spent at tribe was worth it for me, as this, again, has been the only place that’s paved success for this long for me."
